Consume Evening Primrose Oil

The other way to make me healthy is by taking a 1000 mg capsule of Evening Primrose Oil, EVERYDAY. This Evening Primrose is a wildflower that native to North America, Europe, and parts of Asia. The oil extracted from the flower has been proven clinically to improve your heart because it is very high in the omega-6 linolenic acid. It lowers blood cholesterol, can help prevent cancer, and reduces the risk of adult-onset diabetes. The flower also contains a small amount of gamma-linolenic acid (click here to learn more about GLA), a fatty acid that is converted into dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid, which produces prostaglandins for the body. Prostaglandins can reduce inflammation, and currently, the flower is being tested for use in reducing inflammation for those who suffer from auto-immune diseases, eczema and arthritis. Some believe primrose is also capable of helping to protect the braing against Alzheimer’s disease, though studies have not yet been conducted to prove this theory.

The typical dose is one 250 mg capsule three times a day which means a day should consume of 750 mg capsule of this oil. Usually the Evening Primrose Oil sold in the pharmacies will provide a capsule with 1000 mg and it might be consumed up to 2000 mg per day. A tip to be shared in buying the oil is the more GLA contained in a capsule is better. I choose the oil from SAFWA HEALTH product because the capsule is contained 10% of GLA (100 mg). Blackmores also has the same amount of GLA which is 10% per capsule. Other products are not good as both of these products. But sooner I intend to switch to Blackmores too :)
